In today’s episode, we’ll be chatting about how to simplify the client call process.

Simplify The Onboarding Process

If you know what people ask, you can answer the questions before they ask them. A big reason clients want to hop on calls is that they need more clarity. You can create that clarity by giving them what they need before they know they need it. You can also add an FAQ section to your website for added clarity.

Automate The Call Schedule Process

Scheduling time to talk takes a long time. Use tools like Calendly to easily book client calls. If you don’t feel comfortable asking a client to book a time on your calendar, give them a time frame instead. For instance, say, “I’m available every day, Monday-Friday, from 10 AM to 2 PM CST. Can you book a time with me then?” This gives you some wiggle room and allows you to set some basic parameters on when you’re available.

Create Pre And Post-Call Rituals

Pre and post-call rituals get you into the mood for and get you organized after a call. You can use my new journal, Client Calls Simplified, to create these rituals. Before I hop on a call, I usually listen to music and get myself situated. After a call, I typically reflect on the call and get over and supplementary documents I need to my clients.

Use Client Calls Simplified During Your Client Call

Last but not least, use my journal Client Calls Simplified during your client call. My journal is the perfect companion for anyone looking to take more client calls. You’ll feel insanely prepared to sit down and take on more calls with my journal. Here are a few things you can expect in the journal:

  • Space for notes and your schedule so you have space to write during your call.

  • Client call decompress activities for reflecting on calls.

  • Tools and resources with tips for freelancers, questions to ask during calls, and technology to make calls easier.
